Biography

Tomás Carlos Ortolani was born in 1992 in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. His affinity with the plastic arts began at a very young age, always fascinated with the world of cartoons and comics. 

 

In his first years of training he participated in illustration workshops until moving to Córdoba in 2016 and beginning to specialize in realistic painting, attending workshops with different artists, today his colleagues, while studying Visual Arts at the UNC of Córdoba, Argentina.

 

Once his career began in 2018, specializing in figurative oil painting, he worked with Galería Cerrito in Córdoba, Argentina; Artelibre in Zaragoza, Spain; and James Baird Gallery, Pouch Cove, Canada. Thanks to this, his work is part of private collections in Argentina, Canada, Spain and the United Kingdom. 

 

In addition to group and individual exhibitions, he has carried out artistic residencies in London (Winsor and Newton, Colart), Italy (Associazione Ottovolante) and Canada (Pouch Cove residency program).

 

He currently resides in his hometown where he carries out his work, without leaving aside the constant search that its realization entails, while instructing those who want to enter and improve in the plastic arts and figuration.
