Dissolution series

 This small series with five paintings arises from the work Solve, as a continuation or derivation of it. The neophyte leaves the nigredo to slowly enter the albedo, which means that she is no longer in the same state of manifestation of being, that her identity is diluted, her consciousness tunes to another channel, her identification begins to change. 

 I found it very convenient in this small series to represent this paradigm shift with iridescent paint. In this case, the work presents backgrounds of thick, shiny paint with silver and golden highlights, which contrast very attractively with the soft and dark paint of the main figure, implying that the person does not belong to that world in which he is momentarily found. The work was done on a gesso-primed canvas glued to wood, which allowed me to make rough plays with the brush due to the rigidity of the surface.
